Title: Solar logins
Post by: Geoff Schreiber on 2004-01-27T22:06:11-06:00 (Tuesday)
Are they enabled? Maybe I'm missing something on my account - still the same standard login and password as we use for SOENT correct?

Solar is running and you aren't doing anything wrong.  I attempted updating OpenSSH on solar for the intent of fixing an issue I have with NSS (name space switch) and not to just upgrade for the hell of it.  However, the new version broke the SSH installation.

I would have backed up my previous SSH installation, but Sun's tools offered no way to do this.  I'm working on resolving the problem and have a temporary solution worked out, but I'm not ready to share this solution with the public (only a few of the teachers know about the solution right now).

Hopefully I can get SSH working again before having to use this solution more broadly.

I'm very sorry for the inconvenience.

SSH has been restored to solar.cs.
