David will be joining us remotely via the wonders of the Internet to discuss of his book Why Software Sucksââ,¬Â¦ and what you can do about it. Dave will be presenting his views on the state of the software industry and the It Just Workstm crusade. He would like to hear our thoughts about his book and the computing industry.
David runs Rolling Thunder Computing (www.rollthunder.com), an education and consulting practice. He has more than twenty years of experience as a programmer. He teaches software development at Harvard University Extension School and at companies all over the world and is a popular speaker at conferences. He is the author of Why Software Sucksââ,¬Â¦ and what you can do about it, nine previous books ââ,¬â€œ including Introducing Microsoft .NET, Third Edition, The Microsoft Platform Ahead, and Understanding COM+ ââ,¬â€œ as well as many journal articles and newsletters. Microsoft designated him a Software Legend in 2002.
Dave lives in Ipswitch, Massachusetts.
