Q. Why did I and many others receive an email containing the below meeting request.
CS Room Scheduler Meeting
Date: April 22, 2009
Time: 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Place: HCI Lab, EB3012
Engineering Building, 3rd Floor
Description: Interview
A. The meeting announcement was generated during the demo of a senior project application. The information is artificial and should be disregarded. The team will be advised to be more careful and considerate when working with live data in the future.
That explains a lot, thanks. =) A lot of us were wondering, now at least I can give an answer.
Did anyone else get that epic reply to one of the spams.
Yep i got one.
It made me laugh.
I got one...I started to laugh, but then I realized how craptastic things could get if more people utilize their 'reply all' buttons.
Ironically enough all the email addresses (e-ids) are stored in a LDAP server if i remember. I think anyone can query it and gain the same emails they did....
Well, I know its not hard to get everyone's eid...after all they all pop up to the screen whenever anyone logs into shares.cs.siue.edu. However, that isn't quite as easy as just having them all delivered into your email.
