I think the zip drives are the older 100 MB drives.

USB doesn't exist on those computers.

Several places around campus offer ethernet connections.

You won't be able to login to your CS account with your computer acting as part of the domain, but you can login through ftp/http/etceteras.

Really?  No USB?  What's up with that?

Ahh!  Mozilla for Linux once again set my text size here to tiny!

Actually, all of the zip drives in the EB are 250 (not 100% sure about 2025 & 2026 because I've never been in either of those labs, but I have no reason to believe they'd be different), elsewhere on campus is mostly either 100 or non-existent.

Sitting at a computer in EB 1036-

Here's the scoop:

250 MB zip drive

two unused usb ports (the optical mice are plugged into the ps2 ports using a converter)

at least the usb ports look real

I was mainly talking about computesr in EB 1036.  Where are the USB ports?  I was looking all around those computers and couldn't find one.

The three that I have checked have a pair of usb ports directly beneath the mouse/keyboard ports.  One even had the optical mouse plugged in, so they do work.  I am talking about the computers hanging under the desks, which I assume are the same ones that you were looking at.

Heh, yeah, you're right.

Thanks for pointing that out earlier today.
