Well, there definately are rumors flying about OSX on the x86 platform. Read the eWeek story here. (http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,3959,496270,00.asp)
If OS X was released for your beloved "Wintel" machine (wait, most of us loathe Windows, and many of us have AMD chips...) would you actully run it?
Personally, I'd try it, and I may make the permanent switch, if it could run all my games.

I would use it as I already use it now. :-)
Take screenshots for us Kade? :-)
Also, take photos of the computer as well, because you know only hardware turns CS ppl on. Ha ha ha!
Well, as for me, I doubt I'd make the permanent switch; I already rely on FreeBSD and junk on my systems. Plus, I'd really rather try the Solaris x86 builds instead.
Talk to you later!
Mike
Wow this really exhists? Kade, how does it run, how is the hardware support? How fast of a system to you need for decent performance?
Sorry to bombard you with questions :)
Peter
Sorry should have been clearer in my message. I use the PowerPC version of OS X. NOT the Intel one. But you can run
Darwin, the open source core of OS X, on Intel right now. The only thing it lacks is the pretty GUI, (AQUA).
Yeah, I have been considering loading this up for sometime now, but I have not gotten around to it. Perhaps if there was a pretty blue gui to go along with it I could muster up the motivation :)

I skinned windows to look like OSX, log-in and all. I forgot where I got the goods... I think at themexp. later. osmoe.
