Shawn Fanning, the student credited with creating Napster, has now gone legit and is developing software called Snocap which is supposed to help music companies capitalize on the p2p craze.

Personally, I don't think it's really that he sold out, but that he never intended p2p to become the huge (supposedly) illegal fiasco that it is today.  

But, at least he gets high billing in the history book of nerddom.
