Position Summary:
Work with Department Managers and end users to design, write, test and maintain system programs to improve processes while maintaining system integrity. Evaluate operational systems and recommends improvements.
Position Responsibilities:
• Researches and documents system requirements for all internal users.
• Modifies and document program code to correct errors or enhance a program’s capabilities.
• Works with users to thoroughly test and document changes.
• Ensures all Corporate and Company policies are adhered to.
• Completes SDLC phases of feasibility, requirements gathering, analysis, design, documentation and implementation of new systems.
• Finds new and creative ways to use technologies to meet business needs.
• Recommends purchase of additional equipment needed for new program and enhancement implementation.
• Provides user support with little or no assistance from the department manager or senior personnel in the department.
• Maintains a good working relationship with IS and the Company’s business community.
Knowledge/Skills:
Proven coding experience in SQL, Visual Foxpro and others
Very strong logic and analytical problem solving skills
Ability to work independently
Ability to work in a team environment
Good oral and written communications skills.
Ability to meet tight deadline
