Title: Google OS
Post by: raptor on 2006-01-03T10:22:44-06:00 (Tuesday)
Now, I may have predicted this several months ago when our discussions were based around Google, but I'm going to be humble about it.  But, I have seen a few reports across the web about Google releasing thier own brand computer and OS.  They are expected to make an announcement soon.

I wonder if this will be a Linux based OS?

Here is a link to the my main resource:

Yeah, I heard about that too.

Rumours have been flying also about a Google PC using a Google OS that Walmart might carry.  Walmart's last low cost PC idea didn't work out too well, but who knows?  Google might help out the non-windows OS effort.

It'll happen, but not for a while (http://www.personaltechpipeline.com/news/175801090).
