for some reason I thought download manager did support resume.  I did a brief search to find any FF extensions, but didn't see any.  I remember using "Download Accelerator Plus" back in the day.

I think Laurie might be talking about the MSDNAA Downloader.  Unfortunatly, each copy of this program is unique so getting someone else's copy may not work and will probably confuse Microsoft.  If you lost the program then you will have to request a re-download using the ELMS website.  The good news is that if you request a re-download may still be able to resume your download if you select the same destination directory as you did the first time.  This should save you some time and bandwidth.

If you were talking about a download manager plugin like ModernDayDarwin suggests then I am sorry to waste your time with this post.

If you are indeed looking for a download manager, Firefox is equipped with one by default.

Download paused.

Download resumed.

Grr, we can't use tags?  I guess something like that could be abused...

I fixed it for ya pmotyko.  You use the [ img ] [/ img ](without the spaces) tags.  As for her problem I think she may be referring ot "lost connection" download resuming.  For someone on dialup.  I'm not sure firefox handles that or I seem to remember it having "issues" with restarting downloads.

Ah, thanks!  I was doing something along the lines of [img src="http://blah.com/image.jpg"].  Seems I was crossing HTML with BBcode.

Re: lost connection on dialup...  people still use dialup?  I guess this is an aspect of the digital divide I keeping hearing about.  So, if you find yourself trying to shoehorn you high bandwidth needs down a 56k pipe, be sure to support your local public broadband accessability effort.

Doesn't appear anything like this is happening in the Metro-East yet...
