Title: Programming Jobs at Biomedical Systems
Post by: Jerry on 2005-11-21T11:00:35-06:00 (Monday)
Hello Dr. Weinberg,

My name is David Kozlowski and I was your senior projects class about four years ago. Currently, I am the Assistant Director of Data Management for Biomedical Systems Inc. We are a pharmaceutical research company, located in Westport Plaza (St. Louis) who has specialized as an EKG core lab that assists larger companies in phase I - IV clinical trials.

Our department is currently looking to fill a full-time position as a Data Technician within the upcoming 2 - 5 weeks and probably a second individual early next year. As I am a graduate of SIUE and because of some recent success with another SIUE graduate, I was wondering if you would be kind enough to pass this opportunity on to any students in the current senior projects courses or recent graduates that you may know.

The role of a Data Technician has two major areas of focus: documentation / quality assurance & programming. The Data Technician is responsible for assisting our clinical trial Data Managers in designing and developing their applications, properly documenting the application and its process, and for processing & analyzing data and transferring it to a sponsor company. The position is normally about 40% programming, 30% documentation, and 30% running applications and reviewing the output.  The programming is normally in Visual Basic, but knowledge of other languages is helpful.

Our company's website can be found at www.biomedsys.com. Any interested individuals can forward their resumes to our HR department as indicated on the website or can contact me directly if there are any questions.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this request, please feel free to contact me directly. Thank you for your time.

Best Regards,

Dave
