wow, that sounds like a pretty nice setup.  Where did you get all those sparcs at?  I have been looking for a low cost sparc system for quite some time now.  Let me know if you have a good resource for a resonable priced used system.

I got all of my Suns and SGIs off of ebay.  It's a good source. I think I've purchased 6 or 7 computers from people on ebay and only one of them showed up defective.  Make sure it's guaranteed non doa..

As fas as cost..  The Ultra10 was the most expensive at like $500.  The sparc20 and sparc5 were less than $200 and the sparc5 came with a monitor.

Sun is the bomb.. :)

I was just looking over the ebay listings for sun hardware and the prices are pretty tempting.  If I buy a sun station what are my options for a monitor, keyboard and mouse.  Are you able to use standard pc peripherials with converters of some sort?

You should be able to use any SVGA moitor with a Sun but youll probably need a 13W3 Female To HDB15 Male Adapter.  The sun mice seem to be pretty sun specific.  Try to make sure you get a mechanical mouse instead of one of the crappy optical mice they used to make.

My ultra10 has ports for both a sun monitor and an IBM monitor so I guess it depends on how new you buy also :)

Man!  I definately will look into getting some cheaper Sun hardware.  I've always wanted to take a look at the insides of one of those and then have one to rip apart software-wise at will and just see as much as I can about how it works.
