Title: XM says they'll fight the RIAA
Post by: Tyler on 2006-05-19T14:44:21-05:00 (Friday)
There was a lawsuit recently from the RIAA to XM Satellite radio that basically wants them to not allow their customers to record or time delay music.  Of course these are people that pay for radio (as opposed to people that listen for free and record off of broadcast radio and don't pay).

Seems a little odd to me that they would attack paying customers instead of free customers.

Needless to say, however, that at least the RIAA is suing someone with a checkbook that can at least put up a fight.  Hopefully they'll win and they will keep some extremely scary precidences from being set.
