Responsibilities include assisting in developing and managing FIRST Robotics,FIRST LEGO League and FIRST Vex project initiatives and activities; acting as a Science Center liaison to the FIRST Planning Committee, robotics teams in the region, teachers/mentors and FIRST headquarters; disseminating information to key FIRST committee members, and providing follow-up; coordinating schedules for outreach and fundraising activities in line with the FIRST Robotics budget parameters. Qualifications: BA in science education, educational technology or related field; broad familiarity with robotics, programming software (Robolab, Lego Mindstorms, Vex), the Internet and website development preferred; prior supervisory and program development experience in an informal science education setting highly desirable.
