Title: Weekly meeting topics
Post by: Brent Beer on 2009-11-19T23:40:29-06:00 (Thursday)
Just wanted to open up a topic for people to discuss about what they'd want to talk about or do at the weekly meetings.

My votes: code jams? (acm problems, or google code jams problems) or picking out algorithms you learned in class and code them in another language.

Sounds fun! I know brought up the idea of lightning talks before but I think it is a really good idea. If anyone has anything cool they learned recently they could give a short informal talk about it. We could also just have open discussions about things we are working on outside of school. We just need people to show up!

Maybe pick a problem from an open-source project and have a group solve?
