Title: Wanted: CAOS Officers
Post by: Gary Mayer on 2010-01-12T12:08:55-06:00 (Tuesday)
CAOS is a student-led organization and the time is fast approaching for us to elect new CAOS officers. At the present time, all positions are available and they are open to both undergraduate and graduate students.

If you've enjoyed the activities (and accompanying side buffets) that CAOS has provided -- such as Language of the Month, Netbeans Certification, Pie-A-Prof, Bar-B-Que, Laser Tag, T-Shirts -- and/or you've got ideas to help make the events and CAOS as a whole better, now is your chance. Your current group of officers have left CAOS alive, well, and financially in the green. So, it will definitely make assuming the roles and getting the next event in gear that much easier.

For those without much career experience, being a CAOS officer helps you to make your resume standout. It demonstrates an ability to go above and beyond the standard course commitment. Not only do you gain leadership experience, you can also interact with other communities on campus, and use the ACM community to develop stronger professional ties.

If you are interested, please send an email to me at gamayer[at]siue[dot]edu; to the current CAOS President, Scott Miller; or to the current Vice-Present, Jarod Luebbert. Their email addresses are scomill[at]siue[dot] and jluebbe[at]siue[edu], respectively.

Regards,

- Dr. Mayer

So...what ever came out of the meeting for new officers?  I wasn't able to attend and haven't seen any names or heard any announcements, and I was just curious about who now holds what positions and if anything is planned for this semester. =)
