Title: Vote: Yes or No for Snippets Module.
Post by: Stiffler on 2003-08-05T15:43:34-05:00 (Tuesday)
This was brought up at a meeting when we first switched over to the XOOPS v1 a long time ago. I was wondering if y'all were still interested in this module, because I found a really good one (supposedly).

For those that don't know: A snippets module would allow users to post bits of source code to the site. Remember that the professors would also have access to it so they would know if anyone was posting solutions to the homework problems.

Let me know what you think. I could also hold out in putting up this module for the complete SourceForge Clone. It has a code snippets sections, and like SourceForge, would allow users to upload entire projects, and have a page that looks exactly like a SourceForge project page, but I don't know when it will be finished. The only problem right now is the upload part, and I don't know how long it will take to debug.

I think your right. I thought I'd ask before I put something up. Also, I think I'm the only one that uses the Comics mod to view the latest Garfeild and Dilbert comics (You need to be logged in to view it. I could make it anon access if you want.).

I'll wait for the Source Forge clone to be finished, and I'll put that up. I know Grim requested it for a coding project. That would be the perfect host for it.
