Calling all graphics gurus!!!
We need an official CAOS logo for use on the flyers, on the forum, on thefacebook, etc. So, we are going to have a small contest.
Create your best logo(s) (multiple submissions are fine, too), and email what you have (please a reasonable size at least for email purposes--no 5mb graphics in my email) to tyler[at]antifusion[dot].com. Make sure they're in a common format for me to see (png, jpg, etc).
We may or may not have a poll for this (ballot stuffing problems), but assuming we get a good one, the winner will receive a free unofficial CAOS tshirt (see the CAOS tshirt thread).

It appears I need to stop reading the CAOS forum when I should be sleeping.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to submit under that deadline, too much going on.

Well, we had 2 submissions, which I don't think is a good enough variety to choose from.
So I'll keep the contest open, and as soon as a really good one is received, the contest will have a winner.
I should probably resent that.
I just mean that I don't think 2 submissions is enough of a variety to make a good decision.
Ok, we have 3 submissions so far. As soon as I get three more (6 total) we'll have the poll.

I'm still waiting on the 6th and final entry. The first person to get in their logo will be the last to get into the contest. I will run a poll as soon as I get the next one.

Does someone have a copy of the winning logo? Would it look good in the upper right of this forum?
I have an idea for this site's CAOS logo. As a pun on the similar sounding term "chaos" (chaos is all about probability and randomness), it would be neat to have a slowly turning animated gif of a die (3D perspective) with the letters C, A, O, and S overlaid on the four alternating sides. I know that making such animated gifs can be done in GIMP but I don't really have the time to figure out how to do it. Maybe I can get some of the aspiring graphical artists on this forum to contribute???
I have the winning logo somewhere on my computer if you want me to post it.
If is has a transparent background and is of the right dimensions and fits the color scheme well (or can be modified to fit these qualifications), I will put it in place of the gif that is currently in the upper right.
Please do post it so I can attempt to use it.
