Post by: Jerry on 2005-06-08T23:24:21-05:00 (Wednesday)
QuoteThis roach has been surgically implanted with a micro-robotic backpack that allows researchers to control its movements. "The potential applications of this work for mankind could be immense."

Similar research has been done with microchips being implanted on rats so that they can control things using their thoughts alone!

Related research has been done going in the opposite direction, using the brain cells of a rat to make up a microprocessor!

So the real important question is... when will they have BattleRats, where cyborg rats fight to the death on Comedy Central for the entertainment of millions! :-D
