This post is brought to you by Shaun's new MacBook Pro.
:-D

They have now convinced me into purchasing their laptop and phone.

Wow that a way to pay an extra 500 for hardware.

I do like OS X.  In fact its the OS I use the most... just not on their hardware.

Hows the employed life treating you ?

The employed life is nice.  I'm doing mostly Java developoment with J2EE and web services.  Also, its good to have a consistent paycheck and I'm alot less stressed now that a certain golf cart is no longer under my supervision.  That stress gets replaced with trying to save for a house now.

I can relate to the house sentiment Shaun.  Save long, save hard.

Re:Shaun

Awesome glad to hear your liking it and good luck with the house.

Re:Bryan

Dell is also over priced.  Especially the XPS line.  Quite often you will find that you can build the exact same machine minus the XPS label for less.
Also notice that the XPS had DUAL SLI video cards.  WAYYYYY more power than the Mac.
The other note is that I prefer 17'' laptops.  That is when you really get hosed by apple.

Notice that the 15" Macbook Pro I showed has DUAL SLI video cards: NVIDIA GeForce 9400M + 9600M GT with 256MB.

So, now it comes down to talking about XPS vs. non-XPS.... I think we can just agree that they're not actually $500 extra for similar specs.

Last night my MacBook transformed into a robot and asked me where the all-spark was.  True story.

Re - Grimm:
I don't think that was a dual card laptop.  Wouldn't they be the same card x2.   Next I refer to my previous statement regarding paying extra for the "xps" label.  My last and most pertinent point, do it for a 17'' laptop.

RE - Shaun:
Since I have osx and ubuntu when mine transformed it already contained the matrix of leadership in the form of Hot Rod.

It is a dual card setup.  The cheaper 15" model is not.  The 17" XPS isn't even in the same ballpark as the 17" MBP.
