I bought the games just like you told me. Now just tell me what to do with it. Who should I give it to. BTW the price was $43 bucks!

Email the treasurer and set up a time to make the transfer sometime next week.  Thanks again for picking those up for us.  I can't wait to put them to use.

How do you get 20 copies of Quake III for $40? :-?  Or is that a question that you would rather not answer.

Ryan Lintker

It's just forty dollars and a right kidney.  The left kidney will get you Duke Nukem instead, and we didn't want that.

Actually we had some excellent shoppers looking out for CAOS.  Now we should be able to have some inexpensive legal LAN gaming.

New for you or new for CAOS?

Lately, CAOS has been striving to keep our events as legal as we possibly can.  Sometimes this limits what we can do.  The last thing we need as an organization is to get in trouble with the University or worse, with the copyright police.

I know, I know. It just there people out there that have illegal copies of Q3A. I don't. I paid around $50 for my copy when it first came out. I played Q3A on the with a bunch of ppl, and I know that most of them do not have legal copies, so 20 legal copies for a singul lan game is something that I have not seen here at SIUE. That's what I was refering to.

Hmm...  I think i'm going to completely avoid getting involved in this thread.   :-D  Anyway, it's cool you were able to get so many copies at a cheap price like that.  Bravo.

Heh, heh...

Damn, I thought I was going to avoid the threads that talked about paying for software...

I don't want to make anyone mad or discourage anyone from making posts in the forum.  I just thought I saw a little irony and pointed it out.

Okay, any more abuse and I will lock this thread. There will be no name caling in these forums. At least not on my watch. No having outlawed name calling, threads will be locked when there is name calling. So threads will be a safe place, since there will be no name calling. People that say something on purpose to make someone mad, like name calling, is called a "Troll". I looked that up on the offical internet definition site. Since I looked it up, I know that it is in fact a "Troll". Since name calling is a part of "Trolling", there will be no "Trolling" on these forums, either. Now that "Trolling" is outlawed, all threads that contain "Trolls" will be warned, then lock if it continues.

What movie did I base that "repeating" on?

Oh, I certainly didn't mind being called a "chicken"- especially from "Anonymous".  The massive doses or irony in that post actually kinda made my day.  :)

Oh, and I'm bad at movie quotes.
