Hey everyone, I know that "[Our] Compiler in Chief", jrat, has been overwhelmed with work this semester and, thus, has not had the time to coordinate the last CAOS event of the semester.  To take some of the weight off of his shoulders, I figured I'd ask if people would be interested in a "final event".

After talking to him (and some other CAOS members), it seems like some people would be interested in a game of laser tag out at Laser Rock in Belleville; I've played there before and, I promise you, it is a lot of fun (plus, they claim that, measuring in at 14000 square feet, they have the biggest arena in the world)!

I was thinking that this Friday would probably work best, given that next week everyone will be busy with finals.  If you are interested, please post on this thread and/or get in contact with me (e-mail: qbitai_at_gmail_dot_com; cell: 618-696-2600) and I'll try to get it together.

If you have any other suggestions, please let your voice be heard (err... rather, read... :-P ).

Thanks! :-D

I was thinkin' we could meet at the EB somewhere between 5 and 7 (whatever works for people) and then carpool out there.  What times are preferable?

Can we use robots with laser guns mounted on them?  If so, then MR SHAT (My Ross Shooting Hip Awesome Toy) will be there at 5:13pm.  If we can't, MR SHAT will find Ross another time.

Sounds ÃÆ'Ã,¼ber-great! Although I would make the argument that by next Friday most finals will be completed already. This Friday is also good, though.

I second the laser on robots idea. Ross, can you implement SLAM and person recognition on Taz by this Friday? Thanks.

I'm guessing that many people may be heading home following finals and, thus, next Friday may not be the best idea.

Done!

You can count me in, but beware, I am skinny as hell, and laser beams can not hit me, and I like to use run-on sentences, and other neat things too.

From what I can see on here, there are at least 7 people interested in coming; I've talked to a few other people, and they've said they'd like to do it as well.  I'll look into pricing tomorrow (I'm gonna' see if I can get a special rate) and I'll post something.  Thanks for the interest! :-)
