I thought I might as well get this "poll" going.

I vote phpBB2.

phpBB ftw.

You could even do a joomla setup if you want it to mimic the current one. I did the site for my computer club in Joomla and it's great, has tons of plug ins, and helps me as a president keep things in order.

I did the theme using an existing one, and changing images and colors and whatnot, worked out well, but we need a new header, I'm just terrible at doing creative things though.

not very active right now, but check it out, and if you have any questions, let me know!

Are we decided on phpbb2 then?  There is one already setup and ready for me to begin porting data once we've decided this is the way to go.

Even if phpbb3 became stable tomorrow, I still wouldn't want to go with it.  The code base is too fresh; it will need to go through the wash a couple times to see how it does, hehe.

Well I thought a lot more people were going to vote, but I would like to see the changes... I am CAOS addicted!

I know I heard one vote for Beast at the meeting...  I'm waiting till Friday to cast my vote though.

I change my vote to Joomla.  I took a look at the code base, and Joomla is MUCH more maintainable.  It uses a better class layout and makes better use of design patterns.  I would much prefer to help with that one, and it's the one I'm installing on my own site as well.

Well if Grim thinks Joomla is better, then I'm all for it as well. I'll trust his judgement.

Plus it looks like it has a ton of extensions that are a lot easier to integrate. (Including lots of Galleries)

Joomla is fine with me too, anything is better than xoops.

I just finished looking at the Joomla site and I must say I'm pretty impressed.  Joomla gets my official vote!
