If working on challenging development projects and systems that make a difference is important to you, consider a career with Regional Justice Information Service.  REJIS, one of the leading regional government technology providers in the Midwest is looking for an entry level programmer.

 

This individual will work within a team to develop and maintain MS-ACCESS

applications for single and multi-user environments.  In this position, you will work with technologies such as Microsoft Access, VBA, SQL and Windows to:  

    * Develop logical models, block diagrams and logic flow charts
    * Translate detailed design documents into computer software
    * Test, debug, and refine the computer software to produce the required product
    * Prepare required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation
    * Enhance software to reduce operating time and/or improve efficiency

Additionally, the programmer will be responsible for providing relational database design, and full development of databases including queries, forms, reports and security administration.

 

Training or experience with Microsoft Office applications should include: MS-ACCESS, VBA, SQL Server, and Windows.  Knowledge of MS-Word, MS-Excel, Crystal Reports, business applications, SPSS, Lotus Notes, or Oracle would be helpful. Qualified candidates should possess excellent presentation and communication skills.   The person selected will be highly motivated by new challenges and produce their best work in an environment that values teamwork as well as individual initiative.
