Robots on Ice

Well, sort of anyway, given that I've only been to the St. Charles Family Arena for hockey games and ethical cleansings, I prefer to think of it as a hockey arena (rink/stadium??).

The St. Charles Family Arena will play host to the 2006 FIRST Robotics Competition on March 10-11th. Come watch as students from across the globe compete for scholarships from some of the country’s top universities and corporations. The FRC teams high school students with professional mentors, to design and build a robot then compete in high-intensity events.
This year the competition will reach over 28,000 high school students in 33 regional events. The competitors will come from Brazil, Canada, Ecuador, Israel, Mexico, U.K. and the United States. The St. Louis Regional Competition will be held March 10-11 at the St. Charles Family Arena. Opening Ceremonies begin each day at 9:00am and the event goes until 5:00pm.
