Hello,

I'm a student at SIUE (majoring in CS) and I also work at Jaros Technologies in Granite City (it's about a 25 minute drive from SIUE).  We currently have a couple of job openings for development positions, preferably full time, but you can still feel free to contact us if you're just looking for an internship.  It is a very relaxed environment with friendly people, no special dress code, and (most importantly) plenty of ping pong games.

I've worked at Jaros for over a year now and I have gained an incredible amount of experience that is very hard to come by at such a young age.  All necessary training is provided, so all you need is an ability to learn.  The full job description and contact information is below.

RESPONSIBILITIES
     
â€Ã,¢   Develop ETL Mappings in Informatica’s PowerCenter
â€Ã,¢   Write PL/SQL Procedures in Oracle
â€Ã,¢   Document Programs
â€Ã,¢   Troubleshoot software problems
â€Ã,¢   Develop Reports / Dashboards and Administer Cognos and other Reporting Tools

OTHER REQUIRED SKILLS:

â€Ã,¢   Develop working relationships with individuals by understanding their perspectives and issues
â€Ã,¢   Ability to work with minimal direction, but promote an open flow of information so that all concerned are well informed
â€Ã,¢   Have a strong understanding of technical implications of potential decisions on other projects and client needs and incorporates these into recommendations.
â€Ã,¢   Have analytical problem solving skills.
