Software Interaction Designer-Springfield, Missouri

Salary is open based on experience.

The Software Interaction Designer position is responsible for eliciting market requirements, understanding user needs and goals, and designing user-centered software solutions that meet both user and business requirements.  Design responsibilities include both interaction and visual design. The Software Interaction Designer documents user requirements and functional design specifications consistent with the McKesson Software Development Model.

Plans, conducts, and directs the analysis of business problems to be solved with automated systems.  Partners with users to identify, evaluate, and develop systems and procedures which are cost effective and meet user requirements. May plan and execute unit, integration, and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements. Designs details of automated systems.  May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues.

4+ years experience in business analysis, requirements definition, building systems solutions and deployment of business requirements to information systems. Will consider less experience with a degree.

Detailed knowledge of building information system solutions or business applications. Collaborative, customer-focused and able to create visible value. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,  problem solving, conflict and complaint resolution skills required. In-depth knowledge of behavioral and interactive software design processes. Knowledge of Cooper or other established software interaction design models preferred. General knowledge of healthcare industry preferred.
