Language Implementation With An Object Oriented Twist

Sounds pretty cool, but wouldn't it be better to just make a language that is easier to use and implements all the special little things like 2^4 or what ever?  Also, doesn't Ruby already do a lot of this?

I guess the whole point is to be able to add anything you want, but it would be better to not have to add anything new lol.
I would rather be hated for doing what I believe in, than loved for doing what I don't.
