How's the AI class here? Any fun?

I enjoyed it and recommend taking it.  You get to use a lot of the concepts you have learned in classes such as 340 and new ones as well.  You get to apply various data structures and algorithms to solve puzzles, play games, and even facilitate robots later in the semester.

It can be a bit challenging, but not impossible.  If nothing else, you will be able to write a program to solve the peg game problem (Cracker Barrel game), and probably the N-Queens game.  Pretty fun.  We also made an AI for the game Reversi, which comes on most windows boxes and had a tournaments.  Was pretty fun.
