Position Title:    Quality Assurance Engineer

Location:    St. Louis, MO

Department:       Discovery Informatics

Supervisor:       Lead Quality Assurance Engineer

Responsibilities:

Tripos is seeking a qualified individual to ensure both quality concepts and objective analysis of a project’s compliance to improve process quality, to prevent system defects, and to adhere to a system development cycle.  Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

â€Ã,¢   Participating in the development of test plans for and execution of System Integration and User Acceptance Testing
â€Ã,¢   Assisting in the development and implementation of the organization’s quality assurance aspects of the system development life cycle

Qualifications & Experience:

â€Ã,¢   Four-year degree in Business, Computer Science, or MIS
â€Ã,¢   A minimum of 3 to 5 years of Quality Assurance, Software Development, Software Testing, Project Analyst, or System Audit work experience
â€Ã,¢   Excellent interpersonal communications, time management skills, a detailed understanding of system development life cycle approaches and methodologies, and customer relations skills
â€Ã,¢   Team-orientation, excellent writing and documentation skills, and solid knowledge of Windows standards
â€Ã,¢   Experience with Rational Suite (Requisite Pro, Test Manager, ClearQuest, ClearCase) is desirable
â€Ã,¢   Background in the life sciences industry, especially in chemistry, is preferred
â€Ã,¢   Experience in testing strategies
â€Ã,¢   Knowledge of Java/DB query tools/XML is useful
