Time to clean out all the old computer bits from your basements.  Madison County Electronics Recycling Day!!!

From the Edwardsville Intelligencer:
QuoteThe event gives residents a chance to unload such things as old computer monitors, laptops, keyboards, mice, modems, printers. Basically, anything that's electronic that's not an appliance.

Other items that will be accepted include mainframes, hard drives, scanners, fax machines, typewriters, calculators and shredders. Household electronics include stereos, VCRs, televisions, camcorders, cameras, telephones, answering machines, pagers, and cell phones.

The collection is the only time this year that a collection of this type will be conducted in Madison County.

Schools are not eligible to participate in this collection.

The recycling facility is located on Old Alton Road, between Edwardsville and Wood River. Residents can drop off equipment from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 15, and from 8 a.m. to noon on April 16. For more information, go to the county's Web site at www.madisoncountyrecycles.com or call the Madison County Recycling Hotline at 296-6664.

It says schools are not eligible, but if we really did have something to be recycled, I'm sure we could parcel it out to CAOS members to take in.  I'd volunteer.
