I participated on a panel today at the Usability Professional's Association Conference (See http://www.upassoc.org/index.html).

The panel session was about bridging the gap between academia and industry. A lot of great interaction and ideas - too many to write about.

One of the things we discussed are ways industry and academia can interact such as internships.

Right after the panel session was over I had four people hand me their card and said they have internships and I would like to get some of the students who have gone through "my" HCI course (Sorry Kris, you're no longer a student).

The companies are:
 Intuit
Siemens
User Centric Inc.
Waterford Research Institute

Now, before I will send your name to any of these companies you must have passed CS 321 with excellent grades, have a decent gpa, and have one CS professor who would write you a reference letter with generous postive adjectives.

If you are interested and meet these qualification contact me.

Yep.

BTW, Erin's presentation went very well AND she came away with another job offer.
